Public Domain Publishing
As of March 2023, after nearly 9 years and over 900 students, I am closing my Public Domain Publishing course to new students. Although I continue to love public domain content and self-publishing, other commitments for work and our large family mean I don't have the time at present to devote to the course.
This course is closed for enrollment.
Do you love books and have an interest in publishing?
Could you benefit from a business which allows you to work on your own schedule and earn money while you sleep?
Are you looking to learn and grow a worthwhile, profitable skill?
I’ve felt the same way.
Back in 2013, I was trying to start a side business. But not just any side business. I’d tried freelancing but got burned out on client work; I’d started a blog but never seemed to find an audience. I needed a business to fit my life, working on something I enjoyed and earning meaningful income without having to follow someone else's schedule.
So I started experimenting. I’d published Kindle books in the past and started digging deeper into the process. At the same time, my family was reading a lot of classic literature. Thankfully, the two interests came together. I began formatting public domain works -- classic books no longer under copyright -- for Kindle and selling them on Amazon.
My goal was to earn a few hundred dollars every month to help support our growing family.
It worked better than I expected.
In just over three years, I've seen the following results:
All this has happened as a side business, by the way, while I worked a full time job!
Now, how about you?
Imagine if you invested the time to learn about public domain content and the digital publishing process?
What if you could follow a simple system to find and publish books which could earn income month after month?
And think if you could do all this on your own schedule?
If that’s the kind of things that interests you, then the Public Domain Publishing course is for you. In this self-paced course, I cover the exact system and tools I’ve used to run and grow my business. No secrets; no holding back. Here are the areas we’ll cover.
Sections 1 & 2

What is public domain content?
How are people using the public domain to generate income?
What are the rules around copyright which determine if a work is in the public domain and available for republishing?
Sections 3 & 4
Finding Content and Adding Value
What are the best places for finding public domain content on the Internet?
How do I add value to content I'm republishing to make it irresistible to buyers?
How can I differentiate my publications from other offerings online?
Sections 5 & 6
Creating Your Ebook and Paperback Publications
What tools can I use to easily create a quality ebook?
How do I create and sell paperback versions of my publications without ever having to hold inventory or ship?

Follow along on a complete publishing project
What better way to learn than to follow along and see the whole publishing process in action. Watch over my shoulder as I select a book for publication, find ways to add value and differentiate it, convert to ebook and paperback formats, and post the books for sale.
In addition, in the course you will receive:
Copies of all the works I’ve republished in digital format
A detailed worksheet to help you plan and complete your first publication.
I’ve spent a lot of time learning this business. Which is why I’m confident the things I’ve learned can help you get started and publishing in less time, with fewer mistakes, knowing strategies which will help grab attention and begin earning money right away.
Let’s get started!
